I do enjoy a good ‘about me’ type post as I think it helps to get to know the person behind the blog a bit. I also love reading other people’s ‘about me’ pages as you can learn things about them. For these reasons I am participating in this tag by Cass at The Frugal Family
1. What is your usual Starbucks order?
A Caramel Latte would have to be my go to drink the majority of the time. I do really enjoy their pumpkin spiced latte during winter though and I’m also very partial to a hot chocolate!
2. What does your workstation look like right now?
I don’t have an official ‘workstation.’ I normally just blog from the sofa or on the patio outside. (right now I’m sat outside with an ice cream)
3. All time favourite food?
I always say a proper lasagne, with garlic bread of course!
4. Favourite Author?
Lindsey Kelk, Giovanna Fletcher and then a recent newbie Tess Gerritsen. I’ve recently started reading crime stories and all of Tess’ books have been fab so far! My bookshelf is very diverse though so I’ll give anything a read if it sounds good.
5. What do you think of open relationships?
Big no no for me. I just don’t see how they can work out well!
6. Favourite video game?
I’m not really a big gamer, unless its solitaire on my phone! I have just found my old Nintendo DS and started playing Sims 3 on that so I guess that would count?
7. Guilty Pleasure treat?
Ice cream or biscuits. It’s not safe to have a box of biscuits open inside the house as I will just eat them all. I’m not even kidding… I’m a proper piggie when it comes to biscuits.
8. Favourite film?
PS I Love you closely followed by Love Actually closely followed by The Holiday. All amazing films, all make me cry and I can recall the films by memory.
9. Favourite Book?
This is a tough one! As a child my ultimate favourite was Danny the Champion of the World by Roald Dahl. It’s not often that I’ll read a book twice. I think Harry Potter are the only books I’ve actually read more than once so maybe it would have to be them… Usually I’d just say the last book I read!

12. Best advice you’ve ever received?
13. What project are you working on right now?
Probably not the intended answer but I’m trying to find myself a job in finance or accounting. I’ve recently updated my CV so now I just need to head out and start handing it out to businesses to try and find something.

15. Did you get good grades at school?
Yeah, school wasn’t my favourite time but I came out with 8As, 4Bs, 2Cs. I then went to college and studied sports coaching coming out with top grades and went on to become a qualified Primary School teacher..
16. Dream job?
Right now I’m focusing on the end goal of becoming a self employed accountant, in charge of my own time and having the luxury of being able to work from home. I always use to love the idea of running a little book and coffee shop to.
17. Played any sports?
I use to represent my county in hockey but stopped as I got older. I now don’t play any because I work most weekends (retail work, yay) but would love to get back into something. My body would thank me for it to!!
18. Do you have a degree?
Oops, already mentioned this! Yep, I’ve got a BTEC degree in sport and education and then a PGCE to. Not that my job is related to either of these though….
20. What is your favourite kind of blog post to do?
I love sharing ways to save money and then hearing how it’s helped others so these would be my favourites. LOVE receiving comments because it shows that your content has helped others.
21. What do you like to collect?
We use to collect magnets but now we don’t have anywhere to keep them. My grandad buys little keepsakes whenever he goes away on holiday so we’ve decided to start doing this to. I love photos as well so always print these off and either place them around the house or in albums.

Excitable, reserved but determined (but doesn’t count 😉)
23. If you were a rapper what would your rapper name be?
I don’t even think I’d attempt rapping whilst drunk, I would be awful at it so not even going to consider a name!!
24. Who was the last person you dmed?
My other half 🙂
25. What’s on top of your wishlist right now?
I’m rather hungry so that lasagne I mentioned would be rather nice!!

27. How many tattoos do you have?
None, I’m too scared of needles. Not even joking
28. What are you most grateful for this year?
We’ve bought our own house and moved 2 hours away from family. Been a massive step but I’m grateful that we’ve had the opportunity to do it.
29. What’s the best thing that’s happened to you this month?
I think it’s been realising that I want a new career. It’s given me a bit of get up and go that I’d lost. I just need to keep persevering with it to make sure I get a job from it.
30. What’s the best thing that’s happened to you today?
Waking up next to my partner, he’s been away for 10 days so it was lovely to have him back home. Morning kiss and cuddle are always the best!
31. What’s the best thing ever?
Snuggles! On the sofa, with a blanket, film and hot chocolate.
32. Favourite Season?
Autumn, for all the reasons I’ve just said above. And candles! I love candles.
33. Favourite holiday?
Christmas, hands down is the best! I use to love working on the gift department at work as it was like Christmas every day discovering what new products had been delivered.
34. Which fictional character do you relate to most?
Probably Angela from Lindsey Kelk’s I Heart series – mostly the clumsiness though, I don’t get to jet off on mega holidays and wear designer clothes all the time…
35. Do you like surprises?
Yes, well as long as they’re good surprises…
36. What’s the biggest surprise you ever got?
When my partner proposed to me. It was completely out of the blue and I never expected it to happen the way that it did. I think it took me a good few minutes to actually answer the question. Although of course it was yes!
37. What’s a surprise that’s made you cry?
The above again, happy tears though
38. What’s the best surprise you’ve given anyone?
For my partners birthday a couple of years ago he was working away, I arranged with a couple of his friends and his boss to turn up while he was working and surprise him. I don’t think I’ve seen him speechless before so it was definitely a good one.
39. Do you like muffins?
Blackberry, lemon, chocolate? Yes please, I also really enjoy making muffin pizzas. If you’ve not heard what they are then keep an eye out for a future post 😉
40. Do you cook often?
I would be lying if I said yes. If it’s just me at home I’m a really lazy cook but I’ll go to more effort if both of us are home. Most of the time he does the cooking though and I would say he’s a much better cook than me.
41. What’s your favourite dessert?
Black forest Gateaux. Love it!! I don’t get to have it half as often as I’d like though…
42. Is there a desert you don’t like?
Tiramisu, I know some people love it but no thanks.

Tomatoes. I love tomato ketchup but can’t stand actual tomatoes or tomato soup.

Nando’s perinaise. Amazing stuff!

I’d probably walk to the fridge and have some ham or cheese.
47. If you could teach a college class what would it be called?
Would probable some sport related field tbh, I use to want to be a hockey coach.
48. Best animate film?
Frozen, can’t wait for Frozen 2 to come out this year!
49. What has a guy done, or said to impress you?
The other week I got home from work and he’d run a bath ready for me with bath salts and bubbles!
50. The best thing to do on a first date?
Go for a walk, you can chat about anything and maybe make a stop off at a coffee shop or pub?

‘Netflix and Chill’
52. What’s the funniest pick up line a guy can use on a girl?
They just make me cringe; ‘do your feet hurt as you’ve been running through my mind all day’ ugh

Iron Man? I don’t really read comics but I did use to love the marvel films.
54. What are the three things that are always in your bag?
My purse (although it wasn’t the other day when I needed it) body shop peach body spray, tissues.
55. Favourite drinks?
Gin and orange
56. If you could play a historical character who would it be?
I actually don’t know, I don’t think I’d ever have made it to be a queen or anything regal!
57. Kittens or puppies
Puppies, keep changing my mind if I want to get one or not..
58. Favourite sushi roll
None, I don’t like sushi. But then again I haven’t actually tried it, and I don’t think I will.
59. What kind of lipstick do you use?
I don’t, I’ve got a few tucked away in my makeup drawers but I never have the confidence to put one on.
60. What kind of foundation do you use?
I don’t often wear makeup but I do use the No 7 matte foundation if I’m feeling flush. I’ve also got a maybelline liquid foundation that I wear for work if I need a bit of a pick me up.
61. Blow dry or air dry?
9 times out of 10 it’s air dry unless I’m in a rush.
62. Who is your fashion icon?
Pass, I wouldn’t know where to start with this. I just feel whatever feels comfortable.
63. Favourite Disney character?
Thumper, it’s my little pet name so I’ve got just a few bits dotted around the house…
64. What are you doing tomorrow?
I’ve got the day off so we’re going on a treasure trail as part of my Buckt subscription. It’s an Alice in Wonderland trail with afternoon tea so hopefully the weather stays nice.
65. Movie you laughed the hardest through?
Probably Mrs Browns Boys.

67. If you could sing a duet with someone, who would it be?
Anyone as awful as me so I wouldn’t sound quite so bad!
68. If your life was a song what would the title be?
Life is a rollercoaster. Definitely has been full of its ups and downs so far and I’m pretty sure it’s not going to change!!
69. What’s your favourite animal?
Monkeys, I remember being a child and always wanting to be a monkey. I think my parents would probably say that I achieved it to!
70. Favourite illustrator?
I used to love Quentin Blakes images in Roald Dahl’s books.
71. The person you want to have coffee with?
I’d love to be able to have coffee with my nan. It’s not something we ever did but I’d love the opportunity to have a sit down and chat with her.
72. What’s the country you wish to visit?
I’d love to go to Rome, Italy, Paris and Venice at some point in the future.
73. Best way to decompress?
Sit down with a good book and indulge yourself. Get lost in the words and the world inside the pages.
